Unique Everyday Marketing Activities

There’s always a time to use some marketing strategies. As a matter of fact, no matter where you are, there’s always something you can do to get the word out about your business. If you’d like to learn some everyday marketing strategies to get people knowing and talking about your business, keep reading.

1. Business Cards

The given is business cards. Get several created and carry them with you everywhere. Everywhere you go, leave one behind. If you don’t put it in someone’s hand, put it on a table.

2. Use The Books

In addition to leaving a business card everywhere you go; frequent your town’s most popular bookstore once a week. Every week, you’ll want to go to the section that appeals to your niche audience, and leave multiple business cards in books and on the shelves in that section. Someone who wants you help is bound to keep hold of your card and use it later.

3. The Flyer Tactic

Make a deal with a local small business that can correlate with your target audience. For instance, local college students likely frequent the local pizza shop. Create some pocket-sized flyers with a special promotion code that can only come from that shop, and have the shop owner put the flyers on the counter. You’ll be paying the shop owner a commission based on the number of promo sales that are made. Don’t forget to keep a good relationship with the shop owner and meet with them frequently to pay them and keep them updated!

4. Elevator Speech: Daily

Have you created your elevator speech? Do it, and use it at least 5 times a week. It’s okay to spark up conversation with people. Look for people who may be interested in your business, and spark up a conversation about something unrelated to it so it doesn’t sound like a hard sale. When the question “what do you do?” pops up, have your elevator speech ready to go.

5. Give Something Away

At random, take one of your products out and give it to someone random, who looks like they’ll use it. Tell them to pay you by telling his/her friends about the business, not in money. You’d be surprised.

6. Customer of The Month

Once a month, shout out your most frequent customer on your website and give them a coupon or gift card. Giving back to your customers is a great way to give them something to say to their friends about your business as well as a great way to let them know how much you appreciate them, which will keep them coming back.

Think of some other ways for you to appeal to someone every day. These little marketing tactics take anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes of your time and can increase your income substantially. Don’t be afraid to step out and try something that everyone isn’t talking about. There’s nothing wrong with unconventional marketing, especially when it’s so easy!
